Konstantin Kramer

Konstantin Kramer was born 1989 in Frankfurt an der Oder and grew up in Hof. Having discovered the double bass at the age of fourteen, Kramer received his first instruction from his long-time teacher, friend and mentor Thomas Jauch in Munich. During his studies with Ekkehard Beringer at the University of Music in Hannover, he received a scholarship of the Giuseppe Sinopoli Academy of the Sächsische Staatskapelle in Dresden and shortly thereafter, of the NDR Symphony Orchestra Academy in Hamburg. Soon after, engagements with the Munich Philharmonic, the Munich Chamber Orchestra and the Munich Symphony Orchestra followed. As a permanent member of the Seraphin Ensemble (dir. Winfried Grabe), Konstantin rekindled and renewed his love for Johann Sebastian Bach and continuo music. Konstantin Kramer and Ryuzo Seko have been collaborating as chamber musicians for many years.
